When we look at the Earth from space, we see One World, no boundaries, no wars, no difference in belief systems. Just one beautiful; blue and green planet set against the darkness of space. This album is meant to remind us of the greatest gift of all “Life”. La façon du pays is the French expression of "daughters of the country". When some European fur traders came to North America to seek a living and maybe fame and fortune, they did so by working for such companies is the Hudson Bay Company, North West Company, or the XY Company. They were fur trading companies based in North America but with head office in Europe, ultimately sending their trade goods back to Europe. Many of these European Traders and workers did take it upon themselves to live with indigenous women of Turtle Island. Many of these marriages were done to take advantage of trading in a particular area since many of the traders sought the daughters of the Chiefs. The results of these mixed marriages were a people called The Métis. The descendants still reside in Canada and the United States. Although being without a land base, they are recognized under the Constitution of 1982 as an Indigenous People.
